To start the season people including me said it was possible for us to be in this position. It still doesn't seem real. Verlander just push that arm one more time.

I am more worried about the road bats. The posi-stro in me says that the team has collectively seen these pitchers enough to know what’s going on. However, I don’t think we can sit back and hit bombs all night.

But this LA team is really good and tonight is going to be a battle

Same, seems like just yesterday we were excited for the likes of Brett Wallace, Jon Singleton, JR Towles, Jordan Lyles, Jared Coasrt, etc, etc

There's been so many detours along the way....I mean heck even in 2015 who would have thought we would have our ace Justin Verlander on the mound with Brian McCann behind the plate to catch him in the WS?

He has waited for this moment his entire career, and this is the exact reason he came to Houston. You can bet he will give it everything he has. A bit surreal to think we were 2 seconds away from missing out on the pitcher that has been phenomenal in the playoffs, and now gets the rock in a WS elimination game.

Can't imagine the emotions. Glad the boys are more mentally tough than I am

Well we have to expect another relatively early hook for Rich Hill, unless they abandon their plan altogether. Roberts doesn't like him to see a lineup for a third time through.

Then who? Maeda, Morrow, Watson, Cingrani in an attempt to get to Jansen probably. We got to all of those guys but Watson in game 5... and he has pitched in 4 straight games.

I'm with you though, even though on paper it looks good, road bats have me nervous.

If Hill is effective I think Roberts sticks with him longer than Game 2. We had traffic every inning on him Game 2 though and I think we would have broken through eventually. Roberts will be pretty careful with Morrow I think. Perhaps we see Bmac or Stripling first after Hill and Roberts rolls with Maeda in the later innings to lead into Jansen

As I get ready for tonight, I can’t think about the reason I became a fan: Milo Hamilton. Growing up as a kid in BR, listening to them on the radio as I would be getting into bed. Mom always telling me to turn it off but I’d just turn it lower. Thank you and may you Rest In Peace, Milo

Same, mate - let's goooooooo get 'em, Astros!

If Hill is getting outs, I don’t think Roberts has a choice. He pen is taxed with the game ending at 1am yesterday it’s not like they are got a full days rest.

Not to mention that the 1-5 at least has found ways to get at their bullpen, shite papa McCann got some.

If Hill is out early that means the Astros are doing something right tonight, imo

You would think... he might go back to Alex Wood as well for a few innings. This would be his normal bullpen day.

Being a fan or at least the type of fan I am is something I'm sure I can greatly attribute to my old man. I'll never forget as a little boy he sat me down after I was talking about how much I loved the 49ers. He said, "boy you're from Louisiana why you wanna be a 49ers fan." I responded predictably with how they were good and the Saints well they were the Aints... He replied, "boy, a real fan doesn't hop on another team when their team is bad. One day the Saints are gonna win it all and your gonna be able to say you been a fan this hole time. You won't have to fake it, it will be real."

I'm paraphrasing but I swear this has stuck with me since I was little. How it relates to the Astros? Well the conversation went on, and it was made clear that we were LSU fans and Saints fans, no question about it. I asked what about baseball. He gave me the option, but not really haha. He said we didn't have a local team so I could pick a team, but the Astros are the closest to us so by default they should be my team. Well within a year or two he brought me to my first MLB game in the Astrodome, and locked me in as an Astro fan for life.
