My 8 yr old son and I are headed out from Austin in the morning. We land at LAX at 9am.

We'll both be wearing Astros caps.

I'll save your email and try to ping you - not sure if you'll want to have a miniature Altuve hanging out around you.

Chicken, you own TD. Let's be real. Call your pilot and hop on the private jet.

I wanna go so bad. Tickets on stubhub are only $400 but can’t find any decently priced flights

What I did.

I've got some miles saved up so I booked a 1 way to LAX from BR for 40k miles for me and MRS.

I checked out stubhub and seatgeek, alot of tickets available. They aren't cheap, but for about 1k a piece you can get some really good seats.

Haven't booked the hotel yet, the Mrs.Athletix is adamant about being fancy (safe). I'm trying to convince her to stay at a motel with really good reviews. I think I'll win out

Edit: It's last minute and that's stressful within itself, but you can have this trip planned/booked in under an hour.

Floating- It will be me and my wife, we have no problem hanging out with any Astros fans! Save that email and hit me up, maybe between a wife and a kid we can ward off getting whacked over the head haha.

Oh, and I'll be wearing orange.. I'm not trying to hide!

Beautiful. Having the jet fly out of Hooks airport would be most convenient for me. Dad actually has a Cessna 182 that he keeps out tbere but LA is a little too far of a trip for that thing

I can live with departing out of Ellington as well if that’s easier, Cluckster. Just keep us posted

Yeah, since I have Floating Jr, Mrs FCU was adamant on a good hotel. I think I ended up booking at the Omni downtown... about a mile from the stadium, but in a fairly decent/safe location.

I'll send an email once I get home.

Every seat in dodger stadium seems so disconnected from the game. Even bad seats at Minute Maid seem intimate.

Thought he was out for game 6? Houston radio said he wasn't going to pitch. Maybe they are wrong though

Peacock needs to be held out until Game 7, which we all obviously hope doesn't happen. He was noticeably not as sharp last night as he was Friday. No need to go to the Dave Roberts school of abusing your relievers.

If I'm Hinch, Verlander is on a strict pitch count. Verlander doesn't throw one pitch past 300.

Apparently MLB Network recorded their own broadcast to air later. Matt Vasgersian with the call. it's on MLBN right now if you want to relive the moment without Joe Buck.

ETA: this is actually the broadcast that aired internationally.

Kershaw has 686 plate appearances to a verlander’s 50-60.

That’s an insane difference.
