George is streaky. Any real fan knows that by now. You live with it.

Yes, definitely worth a mention.
But, I must admit, he would have suffered more criticism from me had he made a change now.
There was just NO way he was leading off with anyone else unless Springer wasn't in the lineup.
And for those youngsters reading this, there was a tell tale sign the baseball gods were going to pull their strings attached to your soul.
It was the WP by Giles that advanced the walked base runner. Old Astro baseball souls knew Hernandez would get that run home to tie.

As happy as he must feel, I would hate to be Hinch over the next 40 hours trying to plan out how he will use the bullpen in certain situations
We should be thrilled if our next 2 starters throw 6 innings. He seems to have a solid amount of confidence in Harris. I guess at this point our pen is our pen and we continue to ride Devo/Musbaw/Harris until Giles

Its also utterly amazing Pederson and hernandez of all of their hitters would get those key rbis. They were absolutely dog shite hitters during the regular season.
We're talking ~.210 BA, 11 HR, 35 RBI hitters. Basically, a few Jason Castros.

These players, this lineup won you 101 games. Every out, every swing is magnified in the post season but it ultimately amounts to what...12 games. Put it in the middle of June and we'd barely remember it. So many of these guys are too good to slump for much longer. You gotta live and die with the guys who brought you this far. Springer has been absurdly frustrating but it's good that AJ didn't make a panic move to kill his confidence and pull him out of that leadoff spot he's been in all season.

Worth a huge mention I think that will be overlooked- Maybin lacing a line drive base hit to lead off the 11th. Without that runner it's tied in the bottom half
And his steal made George think oppo too

I'll say it again. He's selling Jabroni short. I'd love to see him get a shot in relief. Just let him start a clean inning.

Oh absolutely
Not that there was any question at this point after JV’s ALCS, but tonight was an ultimate Ludlow victory with those 2 August 31 acquisitions

I'm hoping Devo is a bit renewed after tonight. Yes, he gave up a HR, but he got the key outs to win the game.

No, I'm not blind, sonny. Lots of things happened in this game, so lighten up.

Also cold off the bench in the 11th, he's had like 3 ABs in the last three week. Enormous

I stood with maybin. Look me up baws. I dare ya

I hope for sure he feels and thinks that way. But his first two outs in the 11th were blasted right at people before the homer. He's still missing his spots. A lot.

I agree. If Morton or Lance have to labor and can only get through 5, I would absolutely be a fan of giving Jabroni 2 innings. Although it seems like that’s Peacock’s role I guess

I didn't overlook that. Maybin just getting on base is huge. Get him to 2nd, and as fast as he is, that's a great run opportunity. His speed would have definitely given us a run that inning even if Springer didn't HR IMO.

Is Ken Giles our closer over the next 3-5 games? I just posted about not making panic moves but at the same time, he's given ups runs in all but 1 of his post season outings (and he had a 6 run lead at that point).
Idk how you can have much faith in him to lock down a 1 run lead. But then again, who else can you trust?

Honestly, I would never have had LMJ announced Game 3 starter.
He would have closed the first lead for me.
But Hinch has earned the benefit of the doubt with me. His progress in handling pitching has been phenomenal.

I think he's saving Jabroni for the non-JV and Keuchel starts in case we need 3 or 4 innings but I agree. Now you don't have to worry about pinch hitting for the pitcher bring in Jabroni to a clean inning and let him eat, see how deep he can take you
