Your authority is not a good one.

Roof will be closed.

Anyone at Game 3 in '05 can tell you why

It's loud as shite with it closed, not as much when it's open

Not really arguing, just wondering why it is so etched into people's minds that the best pitchers have to pitch game 1. If you are going to have someone pitch 3 games I get it 1-4-7. If everyone is only getting 2 starts anyway, then may as well try and get the advantage in 4/7. I think with the current matchups, the Astros really only have an advantage in games 2/6* if necessary.

I don't think you are punting, you are setting yourself up to try and win 4/7 games.

And I am not trying to argue with you either, it's an interesting discussion. It always comes up in similar form during college regionals

Is there anything that says that the rule changes in the postseason? If not, MLB should have zero say as to whether the roof is open or closed.

I didn't see anything.

Basically they took a ton of called strikes and when they did swing it was chasing out of the zone. No surprise, Springer is called out in the article as the culprit with the worst most clueless at bats of the night.

We’re sticking with same lineup tonight.

LA adding a few different looks with Joc and Utley. Seager moves up to the 2 hole

I like it. Game 3 will be massive regardless of what happens tonight and Lance has shown he really wants the ball on that type of stage. Morton throws game 4 and would be available in relief for a possible game 7 which Lance would likely start

Yeah it’s solid. Hopefully we win tonight and don’t have to go into overmanaging mode too early

We were all saying it in May when lance was killing it, obviously we lost a bit of confidence, lance has the dick swagger for big time baseball.

I also give a lot of credit to McCann knowing when to push buttons with his pitchers.

There are like 4 pitchers in baseball with any hitting ability and theirs is still very marginal. Pitchers hitting is dumb

Springer might want to find his fricking balls before tonight's game. He looked like a bitch last night.
