Glad we'll finally have our ace tomorrow.

He's been dominant since coming here and I hope he's got another in him.

God damn I wish we had a bullpen that's as automatic as the Dodger's bullpen. I'm actually kind of jealous of how money their bullpen is.

I'm guessing you guys get that one. But I like our 3 and 4 match ups with yours.

Our bullpen gave up the same as theirs did.

The only question is did Keuchel miss his spot THAT bad or did we call the wrong pitch?

Nothing else made more difference in this game.

The answer is both.

On Turner's HR, it wasnt a bad pitch, Turner had to bring his hands in and didnt get much power in the swing. On a normal night in LA, that would have been a deep out. But the heat tonight let the ball carry. It still barely made it over the wall.

JV followed by Lance McCullers back in a groove and pitching at home and our familiarity/lack of fear with yu sets up as well as possible. Could we lose in 5? Sure. May we even get swept? Maybe. But it sets up as well as any other potential match up that came out of the NL. That's not even taking into account that at any given game Morton can pitch like a number 1 as he throws 97mph sinkers. First page I said it part of it is just its such an accomplishment to get to this point that I'm not all that fazed.

He's a groundball pitcher w an advantage count to the most dangerous hitter they have and just got a called strike below the strike zone in a game where the ump was giving that pitch.

Why would you try to pitch up in the zone?

I get why you would have to challenge in a 2-2 count. You don't want Taylor on the move w a full count.

But why why why with a 1-2 count would you do THAT?

Because thats where the scouting says to pitch Turner. Other pitchers have had success with up and tight. And Dallas had success up and tight earlier in the game. Turner adjusted.

Every HR I've seen from Turner in the post season was up in the zone.

He would have seen change up away or curve in the dirt before I threw that pitch.

Thats whats great about baseball. We can argue about that and I will say Turner doesn't go for the low and away slider but he has missed plenty of up and in pitches. The other thing is pitchers....even great ones like Dallas, arent robots....they do miss. Kershaw's pitch to Bregman was juicy. It happens. But I dont think Dallas missed on that pitch. Turner had missed on that up and tight pitch twice earlier.

Who is starting the thread tomorrow? I would love to but if it was already decided I will hold off. I believe my record was above average this year

I don't remember any discussion about it, but assumed Jwho was.
