See ya.

While I continue to laugh, I'll credit him for playing the long game. Looked like it would bite him in the arse but Boston derped.

Lololol the Red Sox made Bregman the 4th highest paid player in baseball.

Boston is going to eat him alive when he's hitting his usual .216 at the end of April
Posted on 2/12/25 at 9:38 pm to Lsuhoohoo
Is it even a position of need for Boston? the only positive is the 3 year contract

You’re totally forgetting that his swing is perfect to take advantage of the short left field and the green monster.
He’ll definitely be hitting.229.

Yep. Looks like he was really waiting for Boston to blink. And they did. I love Alex, but that’s too much!! I think he was looking to play in Fenway.

I've said all along Fenway should probably favor him. He can bang doubles off the monster in left center that Minute Maid took away. Of course the monster doesn't matter if he's still skying a bunch of popups.

I thank him for the memories and will miss him. Only Altuve remains.
But $40 million a year?
Considering he won't get hot until June that's way too much for him.
My God we still need another good bat. Our bottom 3rd of the lineup will be chameleon shite.

I will remember you...

Maybe now Crane is done meddling so Dana can make a deal.
On second thought, nah. Crane will probably make him try for Arenado again.

Well he somehow saved face and will no doubt destroy us when we play, but have to definitely back the Astros in this one
Made a more than fair offer that no one would match. And he stayed true to his ultimate purpose, himself.
Fenway is a perfect park for him, outside of being outdoors and the colder part ofthe season with his elbow and hamstrings

Just saw what was obvious said, deferred money

Now that free agency is over, are we all excited to do the Crane method again next season with Framber.
We're gonna resign him
We've made our best offer
It's over
We're still having more discussions
There's a possibility
No it's really over.

I remember seeing the Astros draft him out of my other team, LSU and excited for what was to come. Thanks for the 2 World Series and other post season runs and it sucks to see him go. Glad the Astros didn’t sit on their hands and made other moves to hopefully stay competitive

I don’t think Framber is a Boras client
I could see him taking the reasonable offer

Always was a big Bregman fan since LSU, but I’ve lost a lot of respect for him over this. Not because he left or wanted more $, but because he’s going to play 2B for Boston — a position he’s never played. I guess the rumors were true that he wanted to push a HoF 2B out to LF. Speaks volumes that Altuve was willing to make the move for the team, but the selfishness from Bregman on this is wild

This could very well be true but consider the following:
The Altuve to LF stuff also coincided (I think) with the pursuit of Polanco. I know Dana Brown has said all sorts of conflicting and confusing shite, but I was think it was telling that he spoke in the past tense about Bregman within the last couple of weeks. I personally think they’re trying to replace Tucker by any means necessary, including playing musical chairs with other positions, I.e. Polanco, which would have given them the LH bat they seem to be looking for and Altuve would be the de facto replacement for Tucker in the OF.
I mean, stranger things have happened certainly but I think this was effectively done once Bregman turned down the initial offer.
