Well the way I see it is the Reds don't really need Carter, but the fact that carter can play 1B and LF may be worth something.

Somebody will drool at the idea of 37 home runs. At least that's the way I look at it

Even though appel has been garbage there is no way I can see them trade him for a rental. Even though he's not been good he has a lot invested in him

Jabroni gives up a shitstain run. Walk, WP and jamshot single.

Throw strikes, or be replaced.

Would Carter, Villar, Appel and a PTBNL get the deal done? Probably not. But that would be my ideal package

Carter has created some additional value for himself by playing a competent first base. I think Great American would be a good place for him seeing as really the only part of his game is homers. But they've got no use for him with Votto locked up long term.

ETA: Cueto and Chapman would take a ridiculous package. But how about Mike Leake and Chapman?

Back to Cueto.

Let's say both sides like each other after a trade. Would you do a Scherzer-like deal with him? Seven years, $210M with half deferred ($15M per year for 14 years)? He'll be 30 in February. I would do that.

Has there been any word on how they will use Feliz? Out of the pen and skip that spot next time, or let him start next weekend?

There's a day off coming when Obie's spot rolls around again Thursday, so they don't have to decide that for 10 days. Obie could be back by then.

No thanks. Let him soak this one in a bit longer so he comes back with a little more respect and fire in his belly.

I'm just trying to put it in prospective. Nobody wants the guys we don't want in a trade for a commodity. So quit saying let's give them these two cast offs, a struggling prospect and maybe one more for a bonafid ace
