We get this same BS every World Series.
The entire season, fans are allowed to have a DAT, Braves thread, Rangers thread (believe it or not, there was one for a year or two), etc. Then, for some reason, the world series happens and Chicken forces a single game thread.
I've always understood the reason for having a "Game Thread"... but I also feel that if specific fans want to have a thread devoted to their team, whether Braves, Dodgers, Astros - whatever, it should be allowed.
Most of us DAT regulars enjoy the baseball talk that goes on during the games. We specifically created the DATs to keep away from the constant trolling by other fans.
Similar to how the SECRant has dedicated team boards which prevent too much flaming and trolling.
Keep the separate threads this year chicken, Please.
