On this day in Astros history

10/9/2005

Chris Burke hits an 18th inning walk off home run to send the Astros to their 2nd consecutive NLCS. Notice Brian McCann behind the plate

Yes. Thank you Jesus. LSU at 2:30...so if CBS can keep us under 4 hours I can make it somewhere to watch the Astros.

I'm ok with Boston having a shaky closer headed into ALCS. Think their hind ends won't clinch if Kimbrel has to hold a 1 run lead in the 9th next time he pitches?

So I’ve always thought the 2-3-2 format is not that much of an advantage compared to the 2-2-1-1-1. I like our chances.

Here come the lifelong Red Sox fans from Alabama who’ve never been north of the Mason-Dixon Line let alone Boston.

We need Price to get a win in the post season and eovaldi and porcello to continue not to give games away.

Welp it was a good run but it's over. Astros had a punchers chance against NY. Red Sox won this one in the off season with getting Martinez on the cheap. While lunhow was whistling Dixie and counting on Josh Reddick to deliver the goods. Maybe next year.
