I couldn’t agree more. And he’s no sure thing by any means. But you go with your best guy, especially after you blew game 1. And maybe if you win game 1, THEN you go with Bert. But when you’re about to get swept?

The Giants, Cubs, Reds and Nationals all canned this guy and only the Cubs fired him after a losing season. They just fired him because they were tired of his shite. He hasn’t managed 40 games with the Astros, and I’m already tired of his shite.
He has a “woe is me” attitude, and that’s the last thing this team needs after all the stuff swirling around this team. I don’t care about this season, but it’s not good the Astros already picked up his option for 2021. Maybe an utter collapse in September would shake Jim Crane back to his senses.

It appears the Astros are just going thru the motions. It's apparent that ownership and management had no interest in acquisitions before the deadline.
