13 Astros in a row were retired. We finally get a runner on base, not through our own efforts, but a hit by pitch. The next fricking guy immediately wipes him out on a double play.

3 singles on the night. Nothing after the 3rd inning. These guys are a joke.

This is an appropriate way to kill off any final hope that this offense could rise from the dead and make a 6-game run.

Turn out the lights, the party’s over

Didn’t watch a pitch and feeling solid about it

Y’all will still get the wild card. Anything can happen once you’re in the playoffs.

Don’t forget the Rangers shite the bed the last two weeks of the season in 23 and blew the West and ended up going on a tear. Anything can happen

Im just frustrated with the lack of urgency on this team.

But only 1 game behind Detroit for the third wildcard spot which is crazy.

But this team has no pitching and doesn’t hit. Im not expecting to get in. Already canceled Fubotv.

I care more about the integrity of the game than to see shite like that happen again.

Good thing my left oblique soreness allowed me to miss that turd last night. I did catch it this morning though.

Here is where we are:

I don’t think we can rely on enough teams to lose enough games to back up into the playoffs. This team is so torturous to watch. No energy, no plan, no balls.

I thought it was a bad sign announcing wild card tickets on sale before Monday’s game. Stick a fork in this season. To be honest, we overachieved considering all of the injuries.

But they’re essentially two games behind all the WC contenders because we’ve lost the respective season series to them. We have to finish ahead of them. Tied won’t do it.

Yeah, the exact worst case scenario.

Most of the contributors in unexpected wins earlier are no longer there with little to no future with the team.

Had we not had the randomness of good fortune at the wrong time, the organization could have made moves for the future. Instead, we are in the middle of indecision surrounded by mediocrity with no clear plan.

Even the Correa deal will likely turn upside down. He'll probably play 90 games next year. And I thought Cole may have been a bright spot, but turned into a pumpkin.

You're right on all your points, the only reason I wanna give him another year with a different staff is that he's had some success before. It's still a small sample size but I don't want The Astros to be one of those teams that becomes a revolving door of managers.

It's just that we probably made a bad hire. Crane took the easy route every single time after Luhnow and Hinch. Dusty...old school, HOFer that know one would criticize for a while after the scandal. Espada had a lot of interviews prior to getting the Astros Manager job. There's a reason no one else hired him. But we did because it was an easy internal promotion. I personally think it's that lack of fire that kept him from getting the other jobs.
