Espada deserves his fair share of blame. Kept Framber in 2 innings too long

These dudes are beating it to the thought of losing the division lead

You mean every game shouldn’t be managed like it’s an elimination game?

Lots of blame to go around. If they don’t get their crap together quick mariners will have a multiple game lead in division in the next week or so

The long suffering Astros fan trope may be the gayest thing on the internet

This is what no one wants to acknowledge. This is a AAAA team and Walker has been a complete bust. It’s just not a good team.

When these threads had less retarded posters it was an occasional fun tongue in cheek thing to do when they would lose. Those days ended a while ago though at this point

I constantly feel like there’s a deep seeded bit going on and I’m just to dumb to realize it

He is starting to leak big time with the long ball.

King has reverted to the mean of his ability, which is an average middle innings guy. Sousa is clearly better but wasn’t available. I feel like Espada prefers Sousa but still leans on King too much

Okert should for sure be above King and it doesn’t seem to be the case at this point

Spot on, Dragon.

Provided they hang on and get in the playoffs, these shortcomings will be magnified in the postseason.

8 hits, 4 walks, 3 whiffs. They were shelling him, and they continued to shell him. Only generated 3 ground balls today. He didn’t have it. And they he surrendered 2 more runs. I’m fine with him not having it, I’m not fine with him being left out there when he doesn’t have it in a close game

I think what hurts the most about this one is that the Yankees were doing their best to implode, as they do often, and we couldn't get the kill shot in the 8th inning.

At this moment, I feel as good about 1-4 as I have all year. I would put Pena-Sanchez-Altuve-Correa against anything anyone else has. But Walker and Diaz appear to be turning back into pumpkins again. They have left a lot of runners on base on this road trip. One of those 2 has got to get hot again and give Carlos some protection

He had thrown like 65 pitches through four. He’s not going to manage an August game like it’s Game 3 of the division series

Reminds me of Saints talk from 2017-20. “Bench Brees”

Look at us now

Agreed. But if he keeps this mentality, we’re not seeing Game 3 of the division series

Division lead is gone now. Needs to nut up and make some tough decisions
