Red Sox in a dog fight with the Royals. About to go to rain delay
Posted on 8/7/19 at 9:35 pm to ShaneTheLegLechler
I can’t figure out what the heck they are doing. They announced eovaldi as their closer but I see that tonight he pitched the 7th and 8th

They had to expect it was going to be a mess when they did nothing with the pen in the offseason. Also I lied they’re still playing in the pouring rain
Bogarts bitching that he can’t see and I don’t really blame him

You’re a troll and should be pm’ed to knock it off.

42-5 breaks the Mariners 116 win record
Holy shite. Despite all the bitching we tend to do here, I think we can all somewhat agree that the Astros have been playing some balls-to-the-wall baseball this year and 75-40 is a great record.
And now you tell me that they have to go 42-5 to get to the Mariners record?
That is mind blowing and really shows how incredible the Mariners were in 2001.

Yeah most people are. Except you who want to act like an idiot on purpose every day. It’s old. Go to twitter and do that. Spare the rest of us the idiocy. It’s fricking annoying.

The Mariners won 116 in 2001 but lost in the ALCS.
I’ll another WS championship instead.

Typical Ad himinum attacks. The go to card for people who cannot refute an argument with facts. This is a discussion board. A free exchange of ideas and opinions. If you are that easily triggered I recommend therapy.

The Astros are upgrading and extending the netting at Minute Maid Park. It will be installed prior to the next homestand on Aug. 19

According to an Astros statement, the current netting will be replaced with “knot-less netting.”
The netting will be extended further down the left and right field lines.

Prospects who can help postseason contenders
quote:
1. Kyle Tucker, OF, Astros (HOU No. 1, MLB No. 13)
The Zack Greinke trade made the Astros the favorites to win the World Series and they were able to swing the deal without trading their top prospect, who's chasing a 30-30 season in Triple-A after consecutive 20-20 years. Houston could enhance its chances by playing Tucker in right field over Josh Reddick, who continues to trend downward.

Read somewhere that Yuli had 44 RBIs in the past 30 games, which is the most RBIs in that timeframe in 10 years. Yuli is going on a historic right now I'd say.

Red Sox in a dog fight with the Royals.
I remember during the ALCS last year, there was some one-sided discussion about how the Astros owe the 2017 WS to Alex Cora. Meanwhile, AJ had the Astros play in the ALCS the year after winning the WS.
And Alex Cora has the Red Sox battling the Royals.
Despite AJ’s flaws with over resting his starters... I’d take him over Cora every day of the season.

Who in the Dat is participating in the $3k Mattress MAC promotion?
I’m thinking about pulling the trigger.

I really don’t think the organization has any sort of plan for him this year which is strange.
Tucker had a solid day at the office yesterday though 3/5 with a bomb but urquidy was terrible giving up 11 runs
Round rock though won 20-11.
Peacock went one inning retiring the side on 16 pitches
Small sample size but in 5 games at AAA toro has an ops over .800. Need guys like him and straw to give us some depth.

Really legit prospects should have an Ops north of. 900 in that league.

Stros extend nets down the lines to essentially where the ball boys sit (effective for the next homestand on the 19th).

This ought to go over well
