The only prediction I have for Colorado tonight is pain and lifelong nightmares.

Also is there any reason why we are carrying 3 catchers? I guess Chirinos isn't 100% healthy but if he is, I'd send down Stubbs and bring up Tucker.

Supposedly Chirinos had an ailment a few days ago, IDK

The bigger question is what happened on Springer's slide at 3rd and how long is his IL stay gonna be?

Surely, Tucker's on his way

Theres no place for Tucker with Diaz and Marisnick.

They are okay having Stubbs on the roster and not getting playing time, and they'd rather Tucker get ABs and reps at 1B in AAA than riding pine on the big league roster.

As far as I've read Stubbs is going to be a career back-up catcher at most.

Korey Lee is the top catcher in our farm system.

Stubbs moves well behind the plate and shows solid receiving skills. He has arm strength to match and it plays up because of his quick transfer, enabling him to throw out 44 percent of basestealers in his first four years as a pro. His biggest drawback is that he's just 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds and wears down over the course of a season, making him more of a backup because he won't hold up as a regular.

I would think being smaller would make it easier to hold up as a catcher over the course of a season. I must be missing something here

It's all relative.

If you are relatives with the manager, you will get more playing time.

If correa has flaws at the plate it’s his over patient approach. He should have crushed the firstbpitch down the middle. Ends up late on an 85 mph changeup over the heart of the plate.

He needs a little Altuve in him.

Not following the game, but just read the thread, and your post alone has me totally confused as to how Gurriel stays behind Correa in any lineup

My lineup would be:

Springer
Altuve
GOATdan
Brantley
Yuli
Correa
Bregman

Well he cleaned up correa’s mess. But I wouldn’t move him right now for anything because he seems comfortable. But Correa’s pattern seems to take in his first at bat of the game and then to be more aggressive in later at bats. No stats to back that up, just recollection. But someone above said it. With runners on, look to pummel something early in the count. The first pitch he took from lambert was 89 middle in. But he was taking all the way. Then he took a fastball up and away at 92 then struck out swinging on 85 right down the middle.
