I heard he was going to miss a few days because he was pulled from his start against the M's with hand craps.

I’m guessing Singleton is coming up. Be careful what you wish for. You never know what form Dusty’s next crush will take and who it will come at the expense of

Julks had to go but the overplaying of Dubon in the OF and the continued fricking over of Diaz will not be fun to watch.

Then again, Dusty Baker makes the Astros not fun to watch so often that it's just the status quo.

Yeah Julks needs to go to Sugar Land and try to work his way out of whatever is going on with regular at bats.

Just saying, Dusty had stopped playing him and was finally rolling out some fairly decent lineups with the exception of Saturday. Every shiny new toy presents potential danger

In theory: Singleton should be a decent enough pinch hit option with pop off the bench and could give Abreu a rest occasionally

In reality: he could remind Dusty of some East Bay pimp he hung out with in the 70s and he starts 4x a week taking at bats from Diaz and Chas

No one loves the 26th man on the roster and hates the 6th or 7th guy more than Dusty Baker.

BTW, this thread has been anchored. I love how this board has no moderators except for this thread, and then, all of a sudden, the ATL thread. There is usually more than one “season-long thread” on the first page, and that’s OK. But the DAT goes into the off day and gets an anchor.

Hate it for Julks. He had been useful, even had a really productive June. Then he had the stretch of bad luck where he was siding balls for outs before he completely tanked and wasn't hitting anything well.

TwitterX from McTaggert, “Dusty Baker stole the show” the responses are just mind boggling:

Shaq’s size 23 we’re probably the only shoes he could get on his fat feet.

The last time Singleton was called up to the Astros, it was from the Oklahoma City Redhawks who have been the Oklahoma City Dodgers for 8 years now.
