That was quite a homer there. Plenty of time to recover off the Angels bullpen. Or there would be, if any of our guys could still hit

James is such shite.

Walks
Strikeouts
Home runs

Nothing else.

He sucks but MLB umpires and James' control suck more.

Tell me who didn't see that coming? 70 pitches in 3 innings? What a fricking joke.

We shite on Framber for his lack of control but James is a million times worse. He has no idea where his fastball is going.

He'll get a couple of more starts. Again, he didn't get a full camp to prepare. It's either going to come together for him or it won't. Fortunately, this season is one big training ground at this point.

He may be, and we're going to find out for sure.

There's 51 games left in the season. shite or get off the pot. We don't have the luxury of letting him walk the entire lineup on his way to figuring it out.

His last 3 outings have gone

41 strikes 41 balls (instraquad game)
39 strikes 36 balls
33 strikes 39 balls

Its not getting any better.

Well, whatever potential we saw in josh James, we were all hoodwinked.

Yeah we do. We have neither the arms available to do otherwise nor the realistic ability to win anything this season.

Give James two more starts. If he fails more, swap him with Bielak.

Altuve has got to grow a pair of nuts and get back to normal.

Also shoutout Josh James for not only fricking this game up, but also fricking up the starting rotation for this next week. Good shite Josh

Everyone would get more enjoyment out of this season if they accepted it as a fricked up anomaly.

If Verlander comes back while Lance and Psycho pitch well, maybe we can talk about a playoff run. Even then it doesn't matter what seed you are in the playoffs because there are no fans. We might play better on the road in that case anyway.

I’d enjoy it more if they were losing high scoring games where you can just accept that there are 11 rookies on this pitching staff and they just aren’t ready.

But losing whenever the patch work staff is only allowing 2-4 runs in a game, and there are a dozen runners left on base and they refuse to get a hit with RISP or play any sort of situational baseball that’s when the fun stops. These guys are supposed to be scoring runs and carry the team that way, instead they are flat and it’s just frustrating.

Good news everyone else in the West is struggling too. Just worried once the offense gets going the pitching potentially comes back down to earth

Nah. You’ve already seen the bias of the umpires against the Astros - and the opposing players will tend to bring their A games as well.

Going to be a rough stretch of underachievement for our Astros, amigo. Kind of like the Saints in 2012-2015

Astros haven’t faced a pitcher that has made 5 innings and are about to be under .500

They are going thru the motions and it’s embarrassing the whole league

It’s time to shut this charade down

Not because of any bias or opponents' motivation. The organization will be retooling because of finances and the need to rebuild the farm system. Those Saints just drafted poorly, especially on defense.
