And I'm telling you he is not going to automatically start no matter what. He is 42 and needs to pitch well.
Am I saying he's not favored to start because of everything you mentioned? No. Am I saying that he is not going to start when 4 other guys are clearly pitching better than him with better stuff? Yes.

I am not saying I see it any differently. I am saying that he's a 42 year old coming off yet another injury layoff. He needs to earn it down the stretch.

No matter what, this staff is in the best shape it's been all year. If there aren't injuries in the next month they should be able to use some of the extra starters as real weapons out of the pen in October.
