Not watching, but don't need to

FO failed miserably and Espada isn't helping anything

Need a 3rd C on the bench so Diaz and Caratini can both be in the lineup

Any hope we were given has been pretty much shite on by Tucker. He won't get enough ABs to be of any help should he risk being near an object that could crush every bone in his fragile body and soul.

Not much encouragement for the rest of the team to latch on to, for sure. Man can't even make an attempt to explain. Pretty tough when even your agent is at a loss for words

With the exception of scattered boos for Jose Abreu right before he got released, I can’t remember an astros player being booed at Minute Maid. It’s common for NYC and Philly players to get booed by the whole stadium

That’s why their fans are shitty fans.

We bitch and moan and cuss our players on here but would never boo them in person (ha).

I think today’s starter will still be starting in October.

Yeah he has turned it into a legit question. Assuming everyone stays healthy I think Blanco is probably destined for the pen where he could be a real weapon also. Trying to figure out who gets pushed out of the other 5 isn’t easy. Whoever gets moved out will be a very big piece to have. I kind of like the idea of tandeming Arrighetti and Kikuchi in a game like they did with McCullers and Charlie in 2017

They are going to start Verlander if he is good to go so as much as people may want to make that discussion, it isn’t worth having.

No, he has to pitch well down the stretch. They are not going to start him just because.

Unless he gets absolutely shelled he is going to start a game. I'm not saying he would deserve to. But we all know it will happen.

It is far from inconceivable that Valdez, Brown, Kikuchi and Arrighetti all get the call before Verlander if he does not earn it. He's not going to start without pitching consistently well with good stuff for the rest of the regular season.

This is a franchise that has turned “back of the baseball card” into an organizational buzzword and started a slovenly car wash employee without a fraction of the cachet Verlander has behind the plate for 4 straight Octobers. I’m not saying I like it. I’m telling you it’s what is going to happen
