He's still shitty. We are 1-6 in games he plays. About to be 1-7. He's the albatross.

Oh definitely. Just absolutely shocked that he actually did something remotely positive for this team. Granted due to him team morale has been raped

JD Davis homers. So the rest of the historic offense goes down in order. Why not.

What a shame. We get pitching finally and a little offense and it's the defense that loses the game.

I know he's excited after hitting his first MLB HR, but that celebration reminds me of a safety celebrating after a big hit...4O yards downfield.

Help is on the way. Stay positive. Bregman will lead us to the promised land. I'm convinced of it.

If hinch and luhnow want to win games they won't play JD Davis anymore. If they're metrics guys then the only metric that counts is 1 and 7. That's what we are when Davis plays.

I hate it when they make an opposing team the player of the game. It's the astros broadcast and we don't need this "high fiving the visiting team victory lap bullshite" mentality.

The free fall continues. Astros continue to invent ways to lose.

Offense scores runs, starting pitching sucks
Starters are good, offense sucks
Starters and ofdense do their job, bullpen blows the lead
Playing a close game? Run into outs on the bases and butcher defense.

Agree. And two of the three defensive screw ups in the 11th were just flat out non-urgency by Davis and Marisnick.

Matt Wieters and Ryan Zimmerman scored from first tonight.

Let that sink in.

Seriously, when is the last accurate throw we've had to a base? Everything is off. I know reddick was moving to his right but damn, NOTHING is on target.

Marisnick had no hustle on getting that throw into Bregman. He had his head down, assumed Zimmerman would stop at third and lobbed it back into Bregs. Same kind of shite the Dbacks did to us. They kept running hard and taking bases off a lazy outfield.

When you stop hitting at a historic rate, all those huge warts like sloppy defense and base running become a big deal.

Lazy outfield. In the last week or so, I can think of:

Reddick jogging to a ball against the Dbacks and they took an extra base on him.

George diving for a ball against the A's that bounced away from him. He laid on the ground and put his head down pouting before he realized that Reddick wasn't there to back him up. Runner took an extra base.

Jakes lazy throw back in tonight.

Good teams find ways to win these games. We are not a very good team right now. We are an average team and have been for a long time now. The last 70 games prove it. If we're not playing the A's we aren't winning a series.
