What I like about our offense today is that were scoring a lot without the benefit of the home run. We need to go back to what we did last year and score a lot with and without the home run, and the fact that we're scoring without it today is very encouraging.

Also Marco Gonzalez my God he's been absolutely dreadful in August.

Exactly. I’m really surprised yuli didn’t go to third on reddick’s hit. Yuli is not slow for a guy his size either. He steals bases exponentially better than springer does.

Jwho, I posted it late in last night’s thread when we were talking about Donaldson. What would be your take on his teammate kendrys morales. He’s been hot lately going 11-19 with 4 homers over a 6 game stretch and 17 now for the year. Batting over .250 and provides a left handed break between correa and yuli.

Morales is not much better than Gattis imo.

Smoak is the better teammate who is apparently now through waivers. Dude is a switch hitter and legit cleanup man.

What about joe Mauer? Too far past his prime? Batting .270 but only 5 homers.

We can platoon Kemp and White to get what Mauer provides. His lack of power makes him one of the most overpaid players in baseball.

Its gonna take a front office peon going rogue or Dallas calling out management to get a move unfortunately.

Hopefully this game is the start of the team doing things their way again.

I always wanted Cruz. Why did the Mariners have to be so lucky this year?

That was terrible chuck and Maldonado. Same pitch twice in a row. Might as well put it on a tee for him.
