Prayers for you and your family. It's definitely rough going through this! We are all here for you! I lost my dad to it almost 2 years ago but he was much older. In fact, I'm older than your dad. I also lost my husband when he was in his 50s, so I've seen my kids go through it...wedding, baby, college graduations, etc. I don't know what's harder, losing someone suddenly or the "long goodbye" of Alzheimer's. It will change you for sure. Just so many prayers.

I remember well those Braves teams with those guys . Bob Horner was there too, just to add on

But back to Astros, all that you said is spot on. And is why their improbable run with AAAA players was so unfortunate. Won battles to lose the war.

Talked about this scenario before the season started, during the bad start, and all the way up to ASB. We were destined to regret Framber’s exit. Not only get nothing FOR him, but also nothing FROM him since.

I don’t say this to say I told you so, but……
I told you so. LOL

I do think a good thing to come from it is getting Correa back, with the Twins taking the overpay in the arse, if he stays healthy (big if) .

With Brown, Framber, Hader, and Abreu, you had something to give you hope in a short series, but Abreu might be the only one left standing, and he will most certainly falter with overuse down the stretch. Thankful for the start of CFB this coming wknd.

What do you think a Framber rental would have fetched? I think the Tucker trade has spoiled people.

Hope to see you back around soon baw. Watching these Astros is known to be a therapeutic stress reliever. At least stop in to see history tonight when Skubal perfect games us on 27 strikeouts. That'll be fun.

The closest comp to Framber from this past market was Dylan Cease.

Padres were asking for a controlled starter, who basically the entirety of the DAT wanted to keep, and either or both Matthews and Melton. Can’t remember exactly.

The asking price for Framber would have been higher than that, I feel fairly confident no team was coming off a controllable established big leaguer, plus a decently perceived prospect, plus probably a lottery pick for half a season. A first place team isn’t going to punt on a starter if they don’t think you are absolutely fleecing the other side. It’s pretty ridiculous to even talk about

Don’t forget to add that Framber has stunk in two straight post seasons.

Right. If everyone in here bitches about Framber melting down obviously the rest of the industry would know that too and leverage it in the trade talks.

Sorry to hear about your pops. I listen to a zillion podcasts and seems like lots of recent talk about Alzheimer’s and a possible link to Sugar/insulin and some calling it Type 3 diabetes. I have no idea how vetted any of this mode claims are, and hoping that links can be found soon to help in both prevention and treatment. My grandparents both went through it at the end and it was very sad.

Logan Van Wey recalled, Tayler Scott sent packing again. Before you say, we'll he can't be worse, Van Wey is allowing 9+ H/9 and 8+ BB/9 during his demotion.

"South" seems odd for a division including Denver and KC, but I don't hate it, and am ALL for less west coast games.

Wait, which side were you on?

So why were we keeping him again? LOL

Look, I know the move wasn't going to be made, I just knew more that we would regret it

And Framber would have been the most coveted starter by far

Speaking of Tucker, his market value has entered the realm of reality

Mental baggage and not so obvious love of the game aside, he might go home to Tampa even though they don’t usually do such deals?
