I was a bigger fan than all of yall on him, but I am officially off the Tucker bandwagon. The guy doesn't have it and never will.

Our offense is still shite. Outside of the 1 big inning on Friday, they've gone right back into a shell. 9 runs in that inning, 6 runs in the 22 innings since then.

What can we do to get hitters off balance after seeing a dude throw a ton of curveballs? I know, let’s bring in our other guy who throws a ton of curveballs. Brilliant!

Lucky it worked out.

This team isn’t going anywhere this “season”

But I would argue there are few “teams” out there, and the best ones will be at a disadvantage w larger field and new rules

I think this situation turned out pretty well for the Astros honestly considering the circumstances. They are getting an open look at a ton of their young arms against ML talent in what’s kind of a sham season anyways. I think we all knew reloading was going to be tough esp with all the picks taken, at least they’re able to take inventory of what they have in this environment. That’s my opinion. I think it will help them better plan for roster moves this offseason and going forward

Yes. I think it’s apparent that Click is evaluating, and the players are not performing

The ones with the least to lose are going through the motions

Not just Astros

Sham is a good word

Tucker looks like he has no idea how to hit a ball

Scrubb needs a 3rd pitch. This guy is seconds from Disaster at a given moment. A cutter and curveball is all he throws and he leans extremely heavily on the curveball. I mean he's not very deceptive as that's now 10 walks to 9Ks in 9.1 innings. Its not gonna be very hard to start to sit curveball.

I don’t think that cockshot he threw Gordon was a cutter. I agree with your point, though.

The fact that he physically looks goofy when he swings doesn’t help. Like I honestly can’t envision him consistently hitting well with that swing.

I just think Scrubb needs to throw more strikes. He can survive on those two pitches as a one-inning reliever because the stuff is very good.

This is one rbi base hit away from being known as “the maldy game”

As a one inning guy he’s fine with two pitches. His breaking ball is very good he just needs to be in the zone more

Everything he throws moves toward left handed hitters, though. It shouldn’t be that hard to pick up a two seam fastball with a little arm side run, especially with the velo he has.
