Btw Whitley is starting for Corpus tonight. What a wasted year for him. Between the suspension and injuries, he'll make maybe 12 starts this year. I guess it's still a possibility he comes up in September but i wouldn't count on it.

Has there been funeral arrangements made for LMJ, Springer, and Altuve

Yeah, it's tricky what they'll do with Whitley now. I bet he goes to the Arizona Fall League.
But they don't want to rush him to majors now because starting his clock next year might be better for business.
If they resign Morton, they can let James and Perez battle it out for the 5th starter job. Of course, Jabroni and Peacock could be brought into the mix, too. Then they'd let Whitley start in AAA and prove he can stretch out starts and stay healthy.

I honestly feel like DK might resign. Going into the year I thought no way, but I am changing my mind. I think the question is what does he think he is worth.
When I say I feel like DK might resign I mean going into the year I didn't think he would for any amount(reasonably speaking). I had this feeling he wanted to go elsewhere. I don't feel that way as much.

I agree. I think his season has been just bad enough for Astros to be able to resign him.

Anything's possible but I think it's a safe bet some team will give him more years and money that what the Astros will offer.
It wouldn't even be a shock if Ludlow didn't offer Keuchel anything other than the QO.

Yeah, I think if DK really wants to stay here, he’d have to sign for a discount. I don’t think he’s going to do that because I think he believes that this contract will be his career max, and he’s going to look for as much as he can get. He has his ring.

They took down keuchels corner for a reason. He turned down the extension and he asked that they stop with the promotion. It's all business now.

Injury updates...
George: He's running the bases and will swing the bat today or tomorrow. Hoping he's ready to go on Friday
Altuve: He ran on a treadmill, should swing the bat tomorrow. AJ doesn't have a feel for whether or not he'll play on the road trip.
Devo: Starting rehab at AAA today, he'll pitch tonight and again on Friday. He'll be evaluated and they'll decide whether to give him another outing or activate him.
Lance: played catch today. Next step is more throwing.
McCann: Starting rehab at AAA on Thursday. He'll start at DH and then they'll have a regimented program to build him back up to catching 9 innings similar to a spring training ramp up.

The AL west teams are currently letting a triple A team lead the division. The hell they going to do when we get back to full strength???

Facts. Still no timeline on his comeback but they're at least telling us he's mobile again.
McCann is probably still a week or more off but I gotta believe he's a boost to the lineup. If he's got fresh legs under him and can generate some power again, I'd definitely be happy to have him back over Stassanado.
