Vazquez, a HORRIBLE very bad hitter, with all three RBI for them. Disgusting

Espada must be the only idiot that didn’t know this would happen. THAT’S WHY YOU BUNT ALTUVE. 8 homers from a closer is unacceptable.

Josh Hader is not worth the ink the money he’s stealing from us is printed on.

I'm in favor of moving Pressly back to closer at this point. He seems to have gotten his shite together the last 3 weeks or so.

3-2 and he throws right down the fricking middle

"We can't afford to lose Montero. Pay him whatever it takes!"
"I don't think 36 is too old. Hell, give him 3 years!"
"We should have never traded Hader. I MUST HAVE HIM BACK."

So that’s 8 HR given up by Hader and 3 walk-off HR? Is that correct?

I'm beyond amazed how are giving a fricking closer almost 9 figures and the damn guy literally gives up a run every single game and fricks up games every other outing he's in. Is this real life?

4 in his last 6 appearances. Outstanding.

Hader's case for Crane is one of an investor that makes a previous mistake exponentially worse.
Say you have this start-up company stock you liked but decided to sell it.
It then goes on to be a cash cow.
The bad Investor then buys it back at its all-time high.
That's Jim Crane.

Missed opportunity if somebody doesn't pick this clown for their derby pitcher.

With no Tucker and no Alvarez, you see the weakness of this offense. Bregman no longer works a count and takes walks like he used to so the lineup is largely assembled of free swingers and strikeout guys.
Altuve
Pena
Yainer
Chas
Jake
Loperfido
Cabbage
That's how you end up with shite like today. 2 guys, admittedly big bats, down and the lineup goes to complete shite. Still thing a bat who can work a count and willing to take a walk would be a useful addition. Can Uncle Mike (the player not the poster) hop in a time machine and go back to 2019?

I’m begging Dana to trade Bregman. There’s zero reason to overpay him or let him walk for nothing

Your time would be better spent begging Gal Gadot to have sex with you.
At least we should get a pick off the qualifying offer.

You read my mind with your entire post. Shitty as Hader is, you just don’t win many games these days with 2 runs and 22 of 25 batters failing to reach from the second inning on. This has been an awesome run we’ve been on but it isn’t sustainable in my view for the exact reasons you mentioned.
and especially when you realize that this is a team currently with one established MLB starter, who is himself a head case. Gotta get an arm in here.
Need an arm and a bat to have any hope.

Playoffs are possible. What are we replacing him with? It's not a deep lineup. You see how it bad gets when we lose as little as 1 great player. Bregman isn't what he used to be but dumping him creates a massive black hole in the lineup
Also the most 3rd base needy potential playoff teams are in the AL.
Mariners
Yankees
Royals
Orioles could move Westburg back to 2nd, Bregman at 3rd and dump Mateo
You want to punt Bregman and potentially run into him in the playoffs?
Posted on 7/7/24 at 4:35 pm to Lsuhoohoo
Bregman can’t be moved unless they somehow get back to 8 games back at the end of the month.
Could still happen, could not happen. 6 games against sub .500 teams (Rangers are surging probably just buried the Rays) and then at Seattle coming out of the break. That’s a good nine game stretch for a team clawing back into a race.
Berrios just went all Framber on a sac bunt then let Garver hit a three run tank so looking at three back before the last homestand before the break
