Still dunno how I feel about these deal baws. I have a feeling we are going to love Gomez though
Also has Ryno melted earlier in the thread? Haven't read it yet

Gomez has stopped stealing bases though. They've gone down each of the last 3 seasons. Still runs ok, but i don't think people realize how big he is. Eventually he was going to slow down. He should like the crawford boxes

We needed another RIghthand bat anyway. LHP hasn't been kind to us this year.
If/when George comes back, the lineup all of a sudden looks serviceable with some ok bench bats

I think he slowed his running down due to not wanting to get hurt in preparation for a trade.
He missed two and a half weeks with a hamstring.
Was a late scratch because of the hip.
Then missed like two games in a row.
Came back for a few games, then missed another handful in a row.
It's been off and on for him all year long.
Five separate stints this year where he's missed multiple games in a row.

I think we're still going after Kimbrel.

prob not running because he's being thrown out 50% of the time

Having Daz and Kyle Tucker coming behind Phillips makes me feel better but even though I was hating on Santana earlier, having to give up him and Phillips is kind of killing me. I also don't understand where and how Fiers fits.
But I am pumped for Gomez and he helps this lineup quite a bit in the short term.

he's going to have the green light in Houston. I just hope Hinch bats him leadoff; he is not a middle-of-the-order hitter.

I'm excited as frick for the rest of this season

he's the veteran though, they might want to put him in the middle of the youngsters

Yeah, he likely bats behind Correa a lot.

Let's bitch about Carter. Three-pitch pathetic K. again.

Word is the trade nearly fell apart when Luhnow tried to include Carter.
