He will still have a role as a guy who can put together a quality AB off the bench in October for Maldy. It’s too big a hole in the lineup to ignore at this point. Even if he gets hot between now and the deadline do you want to bank on it being sustainable?

Maldy genuinely doesn't care that his bat is dog shite. He's accepted it. He's made multiple references in media interviews over the last several weeks to his shitty hitting. Comments to the effect of
