Understanding we’re not going to be shopping at the top of the market I like Mike Soroka as a cheaper back of rotation target. Had a really good year as a rookie then got hit by a ton of injuries, struggled last year and his peripherals this year are better than the ERA looks because the Nats defense is terrible.

Not a sexy target but perhaps some upside and won’t cost a ton in a trade. At this point I’m inclined to believe in whoever we target on the pitching side

Counter point: I'm down with us being sellers at the top of the market. Give me that big haul with a Framber trade. Framber/Chas/Dubon trio could rate a high value.

It seems like for some of the last few years they’ve held to the “when we get all these injured players back, it’ll be like making a big trade at the deadline” line.

The big question with this organization and medical staff is if any of those players ever run, throw, or swing again, much less become productive members of a team poised to make a deep playoff run.

But, if they do get all these players back that they should, it could make for an exciting stretch of baseball.

I thought they'd go Framber, LMJ or Walter, Hunter.

But IG they are trying to maximize rest. Thought they mentioned wanting to split Framber and Hunter up so Hunter may not being til Tuesday with Gusto/Gordo on Monday? IDK very frustrating to not put your best two starters together in this series.

Right up there with not playing Yainer the day before a 4 day break in a game/series that would have been nice to win given the week we had just had. Not saying he would have made any difference but it would have been one less Sugar Land player in the lineup.

Wish Hunter was pitching the Seattle series. But I won't bitch aboit him getting extra rest. He was looking pretty run down his last several starts.
