Dusty Baker on @SportsTalk790 on Yordan Alvarez: “The imaging showed no further damage (to his hand). He’s doing good..Hopefully he’ll be back for the Yankee series

Hell yes
Nope. This follows the trend of bullshite were usually fed.
It's not serious, he'll miss a few days
He's going on the IL but it's not a big deal
Everything looks better, he should be back soon
He's had a setback, gonna miss some time

Yeah, I get the feeling this will be a season-long thing with Alvarez until having postseason surgery. Then they’ll talk all about it.
He’ll play when he can but probably be out here and there, too.

So much discomfort.

Nah
This is nothing other than saving face when not participating in the HR Derby or ASG
He may even show up in LA, but nobody, likely including himself, wanted him taking any chances
His last AB was a well driven ball with not even a hint of “discomfort”

100% agree. They are giving him a legit excuse to not participate in the festivities. Without him having to just flat out decline.

Yeah I am not concerned about Yordan
It will be frustrating as hell for us fans who watch the team every day, but I expect the off days and 10-15 day discomfort stints to be turned up all the way in the second half with a 12 game lead in the division

Staying ahead of the Twins and getting that first round bye is just as important as winning the division.

We have like a 9.5 game lead on that also. Just saying I wouldn’t expect a huge sense of urgency when it comes to trotting out a 100% type of lineup

You're right, but I'd much rather game 7 at the juice box than Yankee stadium. But I know I'm just dreaming because, FODB.

I've learned to never expect this, only enjoy it when it does happen.

Yes, I expect the same
But I will say the Mariners appear to have exorcised their demons versus the Astros
Still not concerned in so far as clinching a first round bye

Mariners will win the division. Cluck and Dusters failure is nearly complete

With a couple additions Mariners could be that team that gets hot and you don’t want to face come playoff time. I do think next year it will be a fight with them for the west

LMJ, just arm soreness. No surgery needed. Out for 11 months
