Correa shouldn't see the bigs until midsummer 2015, right?

I am still learning how the minors work, I come entirely from the uncle drayton generation

I agree. If he can sustain what he's done so far and stay healthy, I think alot of people underestimate the value of a veteran on that team.

I think we're seeing dominoes fall now.

Springer and Singleton called up.

No one to protect Santana in AAA. Numbers dip a tad. Duffy called up.

Tucker has NO ONE around him in AA when it comes to power and his RBI numbers suffer for that. Called up to OKC.....Santana, Tucker, Duffy. OKC got their power sticks lined up again.

What's left in Corpus???? Corpus has a total of 50 HR's on the year so far.....

Tucker and Duffy had 23 of them.

I think we all know what's coming to Corpus very soon.

Something like that. He can be called up at any point if they want, but it'd be stupid. Just because he's tearing up High A ball doesn't mean it's going to translate to MLB immediately like "some" people around here think.

He will go to Corpus soon. I think within the month. Lancaster just clinched their 1st half title. I'm not sure what managements goals are for them right now.

IMO, with Tucker going up to OKC, Corpus is a little bare right now after a few call ups. I'm sure there will be decent number of moves here real soon.

As far as when Correa will get to the bigs, my guess is mid '15. But I'm not a GM and I don't know what they look for and I don't know their timetable.

I think the most impressive thing about that is his 17 walks in 10 games on top of the .429 BA. 10 games is probably 40-50 ABs, so 17 BBs is nuts. His OBP has to be near the .650 mark over that span. Awesome

Corpus has some holes to fill.

I could see Correa and Tony Kemp getting the bump up any time now.

I imagine they're going to wait until after the all star game since Correa is participating

Meyer (3B) may provide some power to Corpus. He put one in the Crawford Boxes on Tuesday. He hasn't been there very long.

most impressive to me is the kid is like 20-24 in steals. that was the one tool scouts knocked him on and he set out to workon that part of his game so he can be seen as a stick at SS and a true 5 tool.

I don't think Fowler will be here for 5-6 years but you never know. they may get big value for him next year and not sure you want to commit FA dollars to him. Let him play a full season and see if he can stay healthy and produce at the level they think their other prospects will.

I do think we'll need to make a move next year for some starting pitching.

Why?

So you're saying you want to go ahead and let go of a veteran that, with his current trend, has been a solid addition to the club.....

for a young guy with no experience and the unknown future with said prospect?

Houston is starting to build a core strong enough where they aren't bringing up prospects just to fill holes.

You:

Bring Santana up NOW!!
Oh, Tucker got promoted to AAA! Bring him up over Santana NOW!!
Bring Correa up NOW!!
Get rid of veteran CF that has been a solid piece of this team.

NOTHING you say makes any sense.

You know, I'll be generous....let's say MAYBE 5% of anything you say, makes sense.

Well, they're obviously going to trade Feldman, Kuechel, and McJabroni

I do not agree with that, I think there are enough young arms on the farm that need the chance to sink or swim at the MLB level.

Per Brian McTaggart
quote:

OF Adron Chambers has been traded to the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for LHP Alejandro Solarte and IF Will Dupont.
quote:

Solarte, 19, and Dupont, 20, will report to the Astros complex in Kissimmee. Both played for the Blue Jays Gulf Coast League club in 2013.

your reading comprehension skills are on par with Chris Carter's batting average.

nobody is calling for those guys to be called up NOW! as you say. It is entirely plausible if the club hangs in within a few game of the wildcard in August and Tucker is raking AAA ball that they would call him up then to fill a gaping suck hole in LF. Nobody is advocating they call up Santana now or Correa now or whatever you have in your fantasy world.

As for Starting pitching you really want to make a long term bet on anyone in this rotation aside from DK and Jarred Cosart? I don't. McHugh has a nice little run but he has also struggled of late and is a journeyman. Feldman has not been good. Peacock rarely goes more than 5 or 6.

Fowler's contract runs out next year. both Tucker and Santana may be ready for call up by mid-year 2015 which makes Fowler attractive trade piece for half year rental for a contending team, or they let him play it out next year and don't re-sign him. He is not worth a long term high $$ contract in my opinion.

Now back to your fantasy land.

I'd break all that garbage down, but can only because you seem to think you have a grasp on things.

I'm on my phone and don't have the patience to quote and reply to all that nonsense.

Hey everybody!! McHugh is struggling as of late! He has a blister on his finger last start and then he have up 1ER in 5 innings the start before that because the Angels fouled most everything off and fought well.

Grrrrr!!

That can only mean Goldschmidt is going to smash one tonight
