Should they be?
Yes, because examples like losing Tucker and Bregman within 48 hours for perhaps significant time can happen to any team, no matter how much 'rest' they employ.
This is not 2017-2019. Our bullpen sucks and we're not winning the division by 10+ games.
Rest people who need to be rested for known reasons. Every player is different. Rotate the DH around now that Yordan can play the field. At least pinch hit guys on their day off every time it can turn a game your way.

All of this. Resting a Yuli or Brantley on a day game after a night game or in the middle of a long stretch with no day off, get it. If a guy is hobbled a little more than normal, sure. We have no problem with Maldonado catching every fricking game though for some reason

Although he was hurt recently, Castro wasn't playing as much as he deserved and often times starting vs. lefties. Then when you read his contract, it raises the eyebrows.

Obviously I agree with everything you say
Mostly just pointing out what we know to be obvious
Wondering how much the results matter to them and the players, given the business decisions being made
Sucks for us, the fans, the ones who they count on to pay the bills

I don't doubt the owner on down want to win big. They are trying to have their cake and eat it, too. So far in those glory years, they have had it. Last year was just lucky because Oprah Manfred let errybody in the playoffs.

I think Crane wants to win more than your average MLB owner honestly. He’s not going to push everything in but what’s going on with the Astros is hardly unique around the league.
I do think the tax stuff is almost entirely draft pick related and not a money thing

Totally.

Regardless, he earned the benefit of the doubt when he signed JV

And I think the only reason the draft pick stuff is that big is that they’re missing picks from the penalties assessed for cheating. Without that, I think they’d probably surpass the tax threshold.

Totally 2.0
They will be able to bolster the bullpen without going over the tax line.

Yeah, I tried to post it last night right after he hit it, but my shitty cell service was glitching.

Meanwhile, our departed son George has a total of 15 AB’s for the Jays this year. I’ll always love him, but bullet dodged?

Bullet dodged. That was always my concern with him. He was never a picture of health. There was always something that kept him out for a couple weeks.
Same concern I've got with Correa. Except double the cost.

Bregman to the IL. Stubbs back up.

Sucks that both Tuck and Bregs are now out for a bit
