Man we fricking suck
Leadoff walk followed by a first pitch double play. Lieter has thrown less than 50 pitches through 5 while no hitting us.

Sense of urgency to get on the plane to Tampa.

Then you probably realize that the only reason to be so secretive about injuries is to capture the fans that buy tickets in advance or the casuals in town that might not have if they had known.

All season we have kept starters with far less than their normal pitch counts.
At this point, you have to think these guys are begging for help from management. Their careers are at stake.
Out of 46 games, they will have scored less than 2 runs after 7 innings on 17 occasions. And management has no answers better than showing up with the same approach?
That means they are satisfied with that result. And if people continue to pay for it all Summer, it will continue.

Rooting a for a no-hitter if it means Cintron is fired

And you get a solo homer to break it up, a loss anyway and the same shitty hitting coaches.

I’m sure that has something to do it. But I was meaning more to your point of, the whole no urgency attitude of the franchise is starting to wear thin. Don’t get me wrong, I know there were great crowds for the Reds series and in general. But I think fan patience is starting to wane. They can let guys walk, rest starters etc as long as they continue to be great. And it worked for a long time. But this is the third year in a row we’ve been fair to middling (in spite of winning the division…we all know those weren’t great teams) and fans are noticing.
We’ve been fortunate to be in a bad division.

I was on board with this.

If you throw 95 plus with any semblance of a wrinkle you can just pump it middle-middle and get these guys out. No one outside of Pena can get to Velo. Worst case doing that is someone hits a ball hard on the ground right at an infielder

At least Sleepy Joe's crew is good at boring people to death.

Nice 7 innings from Framber. Just no room for a hiccup for these poor starters

Blue just squeezed the shite out of Leiter before that Cam base hit. Let's see how the boys frick this up.

2 on no outs. Probably a GBDP on the first pitch if I had to guess the outcome after this pitching change

Did Chris Martin just throw his arm out? Jesus
Posted on 5/18/25 at 2:10 pm to DalenSA
Damnit that really sucks for Martin. That might be his career if he blew out
Posted on 5/18/25 at 2:14 pm to TigerFan91
They said he left Tuesdays game after feeling a pop and pain in his elbow. The decided be was fine and pitched him yesterday and tried to go back to back with him today. That seems aggressive with a 38 year old pitcher.
