This team in the NL Central would be mighty interesting

I'm glad we aren't in the central though, it's definitely a stronger division. People are sleeping on the Pirates now because of the Cubs hype train

But is it worth being in the AL? I think not

There's not really a favorable division in MLB, save maybe the NL East.

And even then you've got the Nats to contend with, plus the Braves are always there, and the Marlins appear to be improved.

Yeah probably not. The AL west specifically sucks when your team isn't on the west coast.

I do think the division is trending down at the right time for the Astros though

How fricking bad are the Rangers destined to be? They may bounce back from last years disaster but they're old as frick with terrible contracts.

31 yo Fielder: 6 years 144MM remaining (30 mil paid by tigers)
32 yo Choo: 6 years 116MM remaining
36 yo Beltre: 2 years 34MM remaining
29 yo Harrison: 3 years 39.8MM remaining
26 yo Andrus: 8 years 118MMM remaining

I could see them being pretty bad going forward. I don't think their system is exactly stocked with talent any more

Who knows though if the A's pull a rabbit out the hat again and the Mariners stay good I could be wrong. I think the Angels take a step back as well as some of their roster starts to age

See, I don't even think they'll finish last in the division. where the frick are the A's going to get their runs? I saw two playoff predictions and it blows my mind.

I just don't see what people see in the A's. At all.

Eh...You list 5 contracts with only 3 being players over 30. This statement is a bit melodramatic.

Fielder's contract could be a problem. Wait and see over the next couple of years.

Choo is overpaid. Period. I hope he has a bounce back season but I'm afraid he'll be looking pretty old by the time his contract is up.

Nothing wrong with the Beltre contract. He's worth every damn penny.

Harrison's only looks bad because of injuries.

Andrus is young.
