Altuve is stinky stinky stinky right now
Damn good start from Lambert, one okay outing and one great outing from him so far with the big club.

I anticipate another bullpen meltdown but in the case they hold on, I’ll be out of pocket between 2:30-3 so if a bull is necessary then either be patient or someone else can take over

Is it just me, or does it seem that Blue Balls pitches almost every day?

Disastrous series for him.
Pathetic 5 pitch frame there. I guess we’re good with 2 runs

There is no excuse for a pitcher timer violation, especially with no one on base and for a staff that has trouble throwing strikes. Leads to a single that brings the tying run to the plate in the eighth.

I don’t think that was a cut and dried overturn like Kalas and Blum are saying. Pretty damn close and the call on the field was probably going to stand.

Agreed. Too close to be definitive.

Vazquez is clearly the superior catcher
But Espada is the last one to know
His performance is directly related to all the rest he gets. If he caught back to back games, he would be on the IL
Makes as much sense as all of his other lineup decisons

Here we go. Just can’t get off the field with two outs. Been the story of the season.

Just get the last damn out.. tough to do if you don't throw strikes.

Is an Earl Weaver Special coming?
I haven't been following and just read the thread

They tried their best to let it happen.

Rotation should be - Spaghetti / Lambert / Burrows / LMJ / Wholestaff. Maybe Sousa helps us stabilize the bullpen somewhat before Hader gets back.

Winning a 2-0 game on the road feels weird.

The only optimistic part of this crappy start to the season is that it appears the rest of the division is also pretty crappy. Which will only make it worse at the end when the division winner will be a couple of games over .500 and we’ll finish about 5 games back.

Look at the records of the NL central then look at AL west

Weiss has been bad but they're going to have to run him out there as s starter at least another time. His KBO track record says he can throw strikes, even though his last 4 appearances don't show that. Maybe he can find a rhythm. If not, it's Costanza or Gordon. I don't like the idea of Teng as a starter but they are thinking about it.
Too bad Miguel Ullola also cannot throw strikes consistently (300 walks in 447.1 innings
