My guess is Keuchel is probably only to get about a 3-year deal for anywhere near the money he wants. I doubt a team about to jump into full rebuild like Texas would have any interest in him.

Teams on the rise like the Phillies and Braves plus current big market contenders make more sense.

The big question is, what will Morton get after his age 34 season if he doesn't retire?

ETA: My guess = Angels.

Yeah, I went out from 4-6 to the pond and threw 4 different baits from the upwind sides, knowing that the rain and temperature drop from yesterday would mean I was wasting my time, but just had to do something.

With Morton’s past comments I’m really hoping we can work out a team friendly deal to keep him

Luhnow will throw 1 year contracts at Charlie as long as he wants to pitch for us, which hopefully is another couple years. I think he would be open to a slight Houston discount as well, he seems to care less about money than the average player.

Barring injury, Morton's getting Keuchel's money next year, and I think it will literally be Keuchel's money. LOL

Agree. And it would be the very definition of ideal for the big picture.

I don't know what's worse about the ESPN broadcast: having to listen to Alex Rodriguez and Jessica Mendoza or that the graphic scoreboard covers LSU Baw. Such disrespect!!

ETA: It doesn't look like he's at the game. Quick, send out a search party!

We've bashed a lot of umpires lately. This guy's zone looks spot on so far.
