We are on pace for 108 wins and it feels like it should be about 140. Time for the bats to step the frick up.

We opening the roof? Weather is spectacular, just a little on chilly side right now. Will be mid 60s at first pitch.

This has the makings of a slump buster offensively with lardass vs. JV. This game had better be a 10+ run annihilation. I'm talking 7 guys getting multiple hits, batting around in an inning or two, taxing their bullpen, etc. etc.

Around the 5th inning, Bitchkowski went on and on about how Bregman wears #2 as a reminder/motivator that he wasn't taken 1st overall (I've never heard that..always heard it was Jeter). And how Bregman keeps up with Dansby Swanson's stats and can tell you how he's doing.
Nitkowski carried on for a while about how weird it is that a guy would hold on to that and need it for motivation. That the Dbacks aren't keeping up with how Bregs is doing wishing they had taken him instead.
Then in the 9th inning during Bregman's AB he brought it up again and said "I've got bad news for you Alex...Dansby Swanson was 3-6 with a couple RBI today."

Man what a bitch. Hes very much a know it all when I hear him on the radio. Especially petty for him considering hes more of a never was than a has been. Frankly this is on Fox though for being cheap and having the Rangers announcers as their national broadcast.

The fact that they let this guy anywhere near an Astros game or talk about (he’s also on MLB SiriusXM channel) an Astros topic, representing a national audience is irresponsible. He cannot stay unbiased and it is obvious.
I just watched the bregman highlight throwing beltre out on the backhand play down the line yesterday and he had to throw in there “well, beltre was running, so he had some time”. Anything to downplay a play espn thought highly enough of to include on its highlight videos.

Remember that time we traded Josh Hader (among others) to the Brewers for Carlos Gomez and Mike Fiers?
Also, let's acknowledge our bullpen that doesn't have a LH reliever even when Tony Sipp isn't on the DL.
Having said all that, I present to you Josh Hader's 2018 numbers so far...
1.86 9.2IP 2H 2ER 3BB 22K
That's not a typo. 22 strikeouts in less than 10 innings pitched. 20.5 K/9
File that one into Luhnow's do over folder.
