There’s just no market for those terms for a 89 mph guy that led the league in hits given up
He’s no longer a playoff arm in my eyes. Relief is impossible come playoff time b/c of his 1st inning struggles
He has a history of neck, back, and heel issues. The Astros can’t really see him as more than a Fiers type inning eater in any future championship seasons.

If the Astros don't add to this staff soon, they will be selling off Verlander and Cole in July for pennies on the dollar.

LOL
I know you’re joking, but I think back to our rotation come waiver deadline in 2017, and how that turned out.
I think we give up a young arm, an OF, and Alvarez for Bumgarner this time around
Im ready to roll until then.

Curious if any of you guys have any experices ordering DIRECTLY from the Chinese sweat shop? Never could justify dropping almost $250 on an article of clothing that I’d rarely wear, so I never got one. Bought this beauty for $40. If anything, I’d be out very little, but if it’s solid quality, I’m saving $180 dollars. Will probably take s couple weeks to get here, but the wait should outweigh the cost.

I hope you used a prepaid card

Bought a customized Astros jersey from Aliexpress. It was only $25 and it has held up for the past 5 or 6 years. Obviously you can tell it isn't authentic up close, but from afar you can't. It has all the right patches too. I even bought a Brees and Watt jersey from them. All solid. Only problem was it took about 3 or 4 weeks to get to my house from China. Damn Customs!

I didn’t. I tried a prepaid. Called my bank to see if there were any issues and they said no and I’m protected. So I jumped in feet first. YOLO

I ordered that same jersey using DHgate. I ordered an adult L for myself and an adult M for the wife. After 3 weeks, I received one package which had obviously been opened and resealed. Invoice listed package containing two jerseys, per my order. Package actually only contained one jersey, and it looks like a youth M. Never again.

Well, I found this girl via the Facebook group I’m in and there were tons of people that said they were happy with the product. I contacted her and she even friended me and we talked a bit about everything. Not like I can do anything about it if I’m not happy with it, but again, it’ll only be $40, not $240

I wonder if he'll be able to throw some innings by years end barring any setbacks.

Astros understandably like their team but they’re said still in touch with Dallas Keuchel, who received 3 calls the day Harper got done. Phillies are also in and could solidify their favorite status by importing star lefty, tho with prospects coming they’re preferring short term.
Not surprising

I doubt he’d throw in any actual games this year, he had surgery beginning of November, but I would think he would be throwing off a mound by then and be ready for spring training 2020

Hey, I don’t blame you. My son ordered one before me and got his with no issues. Who knows what happened with my order.

Brad Peacock, who's the front-runner for the 5th start spot, allowed no earned runs and one hit and struck out two in three innings. He threw 48 pitches (30 strikes).
tCock has looked good in his starts. Framber not so much. Probably Peacocks spot now.

Miley hasn’t given up a run yet, has he?

Astros have had recent dialogue with Dallas Keuchel about a possible deal, but as of last night, not close to a deal
Kinda expecting him to sign with us at this point

Too much pride to accept what he's actually worth to the Astros
Can't see it happening, and I really don't want to see it happen, even if we struggle to find a consistent arm in the rotation until waiver deadline.
We need to find arms for next year anyway, and making the playoffs is likely a dead lock cinch. Keuchel is not a playoff caliber arm anymore.

Oh I agree with all that, I’m just fully expecting it to happen

Do we really want an unmotivated DK? No thanks
