I think this might be Gattis' last year as a DH. He may have to start catching again if he wants a spot on the roster.
We're going to be in a position next season (or maybe even this season) where we'll want White at 1B and Reed at DH.

I would rather have Castro as catcher. If Gattis was viable defensively as a catcher he would be doing it

Ship Gattis and some of the prospects we don't have room for like Tony Kemp for Lucroy or another catcher

I think they're asking a lot for Lucroy right now (as they should be). I would be fine with dealing Gattis and some prospects for a RH hitting catcher though

Yeah I've just been campaigning for Lucroy trade since last season so I figured I'd ride that train 1 last time

I would love to get Lucroy, it will be pricey though. He fits perfectly

If Castro can replicate his season from 3 years ago it's a non-issue. That will be plenty production out of that position.
I do think we need a serviceable backup though. I don't believe Stassi is the guy.

True but we don't need to be giving up any of our young hard throwing reliever prospects though.

The price for lucroy would involve pitching....can't just unload the indesirables...plus Gattis doesn't make much sense for NL clubs

People that use Unlocator, what settings do you use ? My IP address still shows baton rouge.
