You just stop that thinking. I think we are on the Redemption Tour and are the team of destiny! They can get cold just like they got hot. Seems that happened to the Red Sox as well!
It's our time!

Braves in 4. You don't have to like it.

I will share this story b/c you brought it up
I met Castro on the beach at Isla Mujeres with his wife and young kids. He had dark glasses and a hat under an umbrella, I didn’t recognize him, and it started with me asking his wife general questions. Said they lived in Houston
I told them I was born there and was a diehard Astros fan. I said yall must have been excited with the WS win last year. They looked at each other and said no simultaneously. LOL
I said yall were pulling for the Dodgers, and Jason said yes. I said that’s ok, I’m a fan of baseball. About 30 minutes later, another member of our group asked Castro what he did for a living, and he said play baseball. I got up and went over and shook his hand and introduced him to everyone in our group as Stanford 1st round pick of Astros, playing for Twins
We saw them often at the resort that week. He was definitely salty towards the Astros, but genuinely a good dude. Said he doesn’t want electronic strike zone, b/c it hurts his abilities behind the plate

What is a good area and not expensive area to park for a game? Buddy and I are driving in on Wednesday for the game. I know I saw McTaggart posted on Twitter about an are costing $80. Looking not to have to give up my first born for a parking spot.

Umpiring crew has been announced. Tom Hallion is the crew chief. You have got to be shitting me. His strike zone in Game 3 of the ALDS was a clown show. The umpires union has to go. My God.

Park in EADO a mile from the stadium or take a train in. For 17 WS I took a 3 dollar train in from reliant stadium there and back. Drops you a few blocks from MMP.

This is wild. Choosing an umpire that's performed terribly all year should be astonishing, but they do it every year

that's union labor for you
Tom Hallion shouldn't even be allowed to attend the World Series

92.7% accuracy on the season... which is in the bottom 1/4 of the league.
4th worst in the league on average run impact at 1.73 runs per game. That's outrageous and should never happen for a World Series ump.
I guess the good news is that he'll only be home plate ump for one or two of the games.
ETA: The best 5 umpires all season were Tripp Gibson, John Libka, Alan Porter, Nic Lentz, and Pat Hoberg. Haven't heard of them, I guess the guys that are good don't get mentioned much compared to the ones that suck. None of course are on the World Series crew, although Hoberg is one of the replay officials.

How close to do you want to be? We never park extremely close and don't pay a lot.
There are a couple of garages on Main that usually sell through SpotHero (formerly Parking Panda). There's a street lot I have parked in often at Caroline and Rusk. I think both of those will not be more than $40 and might be less. Those 2 locations are usually $10 during the regular season. They are about a 10 minute or so walk.
I like parking on the downtown side of MMP instead of the 59 side of MMP because of traffic issues when leaving the game.

Anyone have any experience buying Game 7 tickets?
I know the conventional wisdom is to wait till closer to gameday but does that apply to game 7? Do they actually go up once it becomes clear there's actually going to be a game that day?
Unfortunately, that's the only one I would be able to go to with my schedule. Trying to decide what a good price is...

I have to imagine buying Game 7 tickets now will be cheaper than buying them later due to demand if there is a Game 7, but maybe not.
The only time I've gotten World Series tickets was 2005, and I ended up getting 4 to Game 5 since that was the one that worked the best with my schedule.

The game 6 and 7 tickets will likely go on sell even before they know if it will be required. If they end up not happening I think that cost will be applied to season tickets next season if I am not mistaken.

Game 6 and 7 tickets were sold last Thursday along with game 1 and 2. They were called games 1-4 Home WS games. There are a lot of season ticket holders that won't sell until they know the games will be played because they don't want to deal with refunds.

I was just looking at StubHub. You can get a full refund or a 120% credit on there so that's not an issue.
I just don't have a good feel for how the market moves on this.
Only time I went was Game 5 in 2017 and I paid a little more for those than the prices I'm seeing for Game 7. Just made me wonder if I should pull the trigger before the series starts.

I went to Game 7 in 2019 and bought them they day of a few hours before the game. Looking at the prices right now for game 7 I can tell you I paid less than that (like 30% less) for similar tickets in 19.

Sometimes you can luck out and find a spot on the street by the courthouse on Caroline Street between Congress and Preston or one street over on Austin Street. It is free after 6 pm.

This WS is going to belong to Tucker.
All the talking heads will be preaching about Freeman and Correa.
But Ted will take over this series.
