The lines have been drawn. Click and Dusty can't coexist. Click is gone.

You're completely right. Not the biggest fan of Click, he deserves to be here next year way more than fricking FODB. That's a mistake.

Would rather have Click than Baker, but we know how this will turn out. Problem is who can you attract to succeed him knowing Baker has the owner’s ear. If it ends up being an internal promotion that’s the second coming of Tim Purpura, that’s not a good thing.

The ONLY way I'm OK with FODB returning is if we win the whole thing this year.

Baker is old and not going to manage all that much longer so a good GM candidate will jump at this job.

I still think Click will be back. It would be unfortunate if we have to look for a GM after Putila just left, as he would have been my preferred choice
The anti analytics thing from Crane also seems like complete nonsense, and this is Heyman who is terrible at his job

Haven’t had much opportunity to peruse the boards today, but at initial glance, holy shite, there are enough Yankees tears to break the drought in Texas.
This is delicious.

Yes, it's poor retard wording by a retard. It's clear Crane thinks Click is overly married to analytics versus just the owner suddenly being anti-analytics. I think Crane was willing to spend more money between last offseason and the trade deadline but Click was married to his numbers. If we lose a superb chance at a title because of offense, Crane may want to make Click pay the price.

Who knows the real story with Lance but it's all working out for the best. Lance was never gonna pitch on short rest. Might as well start game 4 if he's only going to pitch once.
Plus starting game 4 puts him on normal rest for game 1 of WS if this thing goes 7.

Hey I said IF
Say what you will about Click but he made a great move choosing Seth over the fresh prince. You KNOW Dusty would have brought him in to face Rizzo, ignoring the 3 batter rule, and Stanton would have taken him deep. I'm like 100% sure of that.
Click is right up there with Nick Maton in my book.
In all seriousness, there is no sense in moving on from him. "Hey, keep doing what you're doing, but maybe spend a little more of my money next time" seems like a pretty easy conversation for he and Crane to have.

I choose to believe that the whole, "Dusty will be back next year." is all smoke and mirrors. A graceful way to allow Dusty to "walk away on his own terms" and retire at the end of this season.
If Boone can blame Game 2 loss on an open roof, I can have my own altered-reality where Dusty will do the right thing and walk away.

Yeah Click’s work gets an incomplete for me so far. We’ve made this run based on drafting/signing and developing internally and that’s what will make it continue. The guys Click is responsible for are hardly above A ball and he just had his first real draft. I’m not gonna cry if he’s gone as long as we replace him with someone cut from a fairly similar cloth, but I would rather keep him I think

Matter of time. Let's send him on his way with a nice ring.

Well, this was inevitable. And, probably all for the best.
Next season, Dusty won't have Espada running the show for him behind the scenes. And things will fall apart rapidly.

Happy for Joe. He'll do well.
Rather we kept Joe as manager but that was obviously not going to happen. Oh well.

Where does this shite come from? Barely is the Mookie Betts play in 2018, Bregman's homerun was closer to the concourse wall than it was to the fence
