Or does he not have the pull of Biggio and Bagwell (duh) and was sitting out in RF?
ETA: To be fair though, if he was sitting on his couch, he had just as good of a view of the play as Joe West.

That is what is so frustrating about the last couple of games. If you get beat by things that have been getting you beat all year, that is one thing. For example, the Astros have been losing games at home because they couldn't score runs. If they had lost the last 2 nights because they couldn't score, then ok..cool.
But this shite with Maldonado suddenly not being able to catch pitches has literally come out of nowhere. He has been stellar behind the plate. And I think every pitch that he has let get away has cost the Astros a run because the batter then got a hit.

You can point to any number or reasons we lost last night but it's the sloppy bullshite that's pissed me off. Last night we lose by 2 runs...

Pitch gets away from McCann, Mookie moves up, scores on a single.
That's 3 runs we gave away with completely preventable sloppy play.

Agreed. I don't care if they lose to the Red Sox. Red Sox are a damn good team. But they haven't played like this all year and they choose now.

You left out Correa missing 2nd base. I think that was in the inning that Lance walked in a run...but it's another example of sloppy play which this team hasn't shown the last 2 years.

Lidge was saying there was no rule set in place for stuff like this occurring and as a result was the right call anyway. I was stunned by how stupid and ignorant he sounded considering there is a rule clear as day that if a ball were to go over the fence that the fan has his right to interfere with the ball.
Just found it funny how Lidge is an analyst and doesn't even know shite about the rules. I usually like him but he made himself look like an idiot today. Literally every other analyst thinks it's the wrong call.
