Interesting pitching match-up tidbit I just learned:

Porcello>Morton

Something to think about.

I think winner of game 5 is more of an indicator.

Charlie Morton ESPN piece Good write up on Morton. Makes me like the guy. Still hope we hit him hard tonight.

By the way, ive watched the replay a few times and the ball definitely hits the wall before Kemp catches it.

LINK

That along with the obvious sound of the ball hitting the wall.

Linked fixed. Dont look at where they guy drew a circle. Look at the metal plate of the wall rippling after the ball hits it.

Morton is actually a really good dude. I went to Spring Training and while a lot of those guys will big league you, Morton walked up and spent time talking with fans. He signed more autographs than anyone out there.

I wish the Astros could have perfected their sign stealing methods at home this year.

Seems like it would have been a lot easier to get done and could have maybe prevented a 9 game losing streak.

Damn Hinch and his laissez fare attitude during the regular season. Lazy SOB.

Link is broken, but I've seen the video. Certainly looks like it clipped the wall. That would have been a huge controversy had the game turned out differently.

I agree. No way does it make the noise it did without hitting the wall first. It definitely rebounded off the wall into his glove.

There is a better slow motion version on Twitter. I'll try to find it later.

Lol no. LINK

Look from the side angle at 38 seconds, and look at the ball's trajectory.

Drawing circles on twitter doesn't make it true.

Still looks like it hits the wall before the glove just barely. Also, that is the noise of a ball hitting the metal on the wall. Nothing that Kemp did could have made that distinctive noise.

Except when you take the other angles into account, you can tell it didn't bounce into his glove.

And it's his glove hitting the panel, and that's the sound of the metal panel clanking against other metal..

What a great catch by Kemp.

In any other park he's camped under it for an easy out.

TC insisted on the NESN postgame last night that the ball kissed the wall before landing in the glove and they showed the frame by frame, I could not be convinced and for the record, neither Lenny DiNardo or Steve Lyons agreed with him. I was listening on the radio on the way home so I did not see it in real time.

I'm hoping for (1) good Porcello for at least 20 outs (2) Aggressive Sox offense early (3) No Ian Kinsler in the lineup tonight (4) Agua Sucia and a 3-1 lead

PS: I like Charlie Morton and respect what he did last year, just hope tonight does not belong to him.

Yeah, there's no holes in the pocket of the glove that would still allow you to see the ball after he closes the glove.

So, the ball has no way to make contact with the wall and the glove still be behind it simultaneously.

Good call.

Are you this good with flatulence, too? Like knowing boxers and briefs, jeans or shorts?
