He sucked the first 20-25 games. Was below .200 for a while. But when he cranked it up, he never slowed down.

Edit: I looked it up and crunched the numbers.

1st 28 games: batted .194
last 31 games: batted .321 (includes post-season)

All the announcers act like Maldonado is the best game-caller around, but I don't really see it. He's a badass with the running game, though.

Makes sense with Maldy having started every game this postseason

With a 2-0 lead it might make some sense

Not down 0-2

They will run on his passed ball, no bat arse

Maldanado would have to be bleeding out of his arse and eyeballs not to be in the lineup

I'm still very confident tonight for a few reasons.

1) We have been very unlucky the first 2 games. I would think it starts to change.
2) We're hitting the ball well, just right into a Ray's players glove every single time
3) Pitching has been great and we haven't used many arms whatsoever
4) Team overall is in great spirits
5) I actually have faith in Altuve making throws from 2nd base

I won't make a prediction on the game itself, but I'm feeling very confident in them regardless. They know the time is now to make a move. Let's ride baws!

I am confident tonight. We hit better pitchers than Yarborough and they haven’t hit us very well. Getting 6-7 innings from both starters is huge. Rays could start to see diminishing returns on their bullpen if Yarborough goes less than 5.

So what kind of contract will George get after this year? With Houston or otherwise.

The way Urquidy continued to pitch high in the zone last time out, I think Strom or Urquidy must have forced Garneau into the lineup

Only explanation

I really think that the Astros are gonna let him walk now that Correa has stepped up, remained healthy, and shown leadership in the process.

After next year, there are 5 superstar SS that will be on the market. This should work in the Astros favor, too.

I look for them to use Verlander and Greinke’s money coming off the books next year and invest in Correa.

I didn’t see that happening until seeing this season play out like it has

Had to bust out the home white Springer jersey for this one. It has a lot of postseason wins to its credit. Expecting big things tonight.
