More fun facts about that Yordong yesterday:

quote:

Foolish Baseball @FoolishBB: Yordan Alvarez's 3-run walkoff had a +91% Win Probability Added, the highest of any play in MLB playoff history.

Here are the top 20 plays before Alvarez homered via @Stathead. This passes Kirk Gibson's walk-off in Game 1 of the 1988 World Series.

Does anyone want to explain what the hell happened with Yuli yesterday? Are we using different balls again? Did Yuli have a single game all season as good as yesterday in terms of contact?

Maybe he's been quietly injured and he was waiting until the postseason to get an injection.

I like seeing Vazquez involved with all of that. He got blindsided by the trade and then was killed for his immediate reaction, and he’s probably been fricked over by the dipshit in the manager’s office more than anyone. And yet he was over the moon in that clip.

That seems possible, but I dunno why they wouldn’t have done it and just put him on the IL for a couple weeks during the season. Could have been that and some mechanical fix that took the time off to put together. Balls don’t explain him stepping on a hanging breaking ball like he hasn’t done all year

Sure am glad we get a day off between two home games and then no day off for a potential 4 to 5 travel day... not that we should need it.

Today’s edition of, “who said that shite?”:

shite, that's the final nail in this coffin.

This offense isn't built to come back. They've laid down and died in late holes all year. Would love it to be different here but..

Went from pretty confident in this series to pretty sure we’d lose in 1.5 innings

I’m not sure who wins the Ryno award for most premature melt.

tduecen gets a game ball for being the most non-DAT poster with the most positive Astros vibe.

Lady gets the pompon award for never giving up.

Serve it up. I turned it off in the 8th inning. I am hating myself this morning.

All hail Alvarez.

I don’t necessarily think he wants out. He wants to be a manager, and with all of the uncertainty in Houston, he’s smart not to wait around. He’s already been passed up once in Houston when Crane snubbed him to hire Dipshit Dusty.

Yeah, he wants a better job no matter where it might be.

Is today the day Click tells Crane we can't let Espada go and keep the buffoon?

But Dusty is beloved in the dugout by all and a magician manager. Why would anyone want to leave his staff?

We better have a conversation with Espada and at least tell him to tell other teams he won’t make any decisions until after the Astros season is over
