Y'all remember when Yed killed a baseball, Robbie Ray, and Scott Servais in a single swing?

I don't like umpires. They're a subhuman species. That said, the guy we had today was the highest rated umpire in baseball this year and I think he got maybe 3 pitches wrong.

Was at the hospital trying to coach my wife through contractions while they were working on getting her epidural when Yordan hit the mammo

I couldn’t tell why I was crying. Definitely have to name the baby Yed, however

It was an incredible job by the home plate ump tonight. I agree on only 3 pitches missed

And there was a noticeable lack of forced minority umps in the crew for the series, which should improve the quality of their calls

The main one I noticed was the first pitch to Pena in the 9th. I thought we were fricked at that point. Then when Pena predictably swung and the slider off the plate for strike 2, I really thought we were fricked.

NSIAP but I have watched the video in this tweet at least 100 times, focusing on someone different each time.

Dubon never even looked to see where the ball went. He just jumped over the railing at the crack of the bat.

I mean it was obvious where that ball was going.

Probably hasn’t been pointed out but I loved seeing Verlander come in late to the celebration like he came all the way from the clubhouse after thinking he cost the game.

so great watching the people in the stands just whip their heads to the right and erupt

my favorite is Bagwell and Biggios reaction. Bagwell just clapping away hands over head like a proud dad

My favorite was Springers game 5 homer. Biggie behind home plate jumps up into the air fist pumping right off the bat. Love that those 2 guys are still involved and that passionate for the Astros 30+ years later.

And just to make us all feel old...Bagwell has been retired longer than he played. 15 year career, 16 years in retirement.
