LMJ's agent is requiring fiber optic connection internet service on the road for his gaming, and unlimited PPV on all MMA events

Don't forget funding for an Ark to save all the stray dogs and cats in case another Harvey happens.

How about VR goggles that make every road game look like MMP? Do we have the technology?

Steven Souza has been released. 4th OF comes down to Jwhos boy McCormick or Jose Siri. McCormick is already on the 40 man

How do you guys feel about our pitching this year? I think both rotation and bullpen have the capability to be really good, and I think will be overall, but I think they will hit some inconsistencies. I think we'll have a few stretches where they look awesome, and a few they don't look awesome.

I'd feel a lot better if Frambaw wasn't hurt either.

Astros were 13/14 or so in ERA/WHIP last season, I expect about the same this season if Frambaw comes back. I think Urquidy will be better, Lance will be better, but even with Odorizzi I don't feel confident in the 4th/5th spots until Frambaw gets back.

To advance in the playoffs they will need JV to be ready to go per his usual self

Outside of that, falling short in the ALCS is likely the ceiling

Once Frambaw gets back I think the Astros will have the deepest rotation in the AL on paper. It doesn’t have that front line DUDE, but there will be a legit big league guy that can get you six quality innings every night.

That also allows them to move Javier back to the bullpen or trot out a 6 man rotation if that want to save some innings.

I think the bullpen is going to be much much better than last year as well. Two legit lefties, Joe Smith is a big piece coming back, Baez is a pro and hopefully Pressly can get comfortable getting the last three outs. Very interested to see how and when Stanek is used.

Who didn’t make a play that LMJ thought he should have early in this inning? Maybe work a pregame Xanax into the contract so he doesn’t melt down every time that happens.

We DAT baws need to get into live betting. When LMJ is pitching and someone either 1) makes an error or 2) opens a roof, bet it all on the other team.

@JeffPassan
Right-hander Lance McCullers Jr. and the Houston Astros are in agreement on a five-year, $85 million contract extension, sources familiar with the deal tell ESPN.

It's a gamble. IF he stays healthy, pitches 180 innings, strikes out 200 with an ERA in the 3s, its a steal. He likely would have gotten more on the market given his age, potential and production. The Astros are clearly betting on McCullers. If he's inconsistent with continued injuries, its certainly the overpay that it looks to be right now.

I was thinking something in the 60-65 million range.

Yea I'm a Lance stan, but that deal made me cringe a bit.

Hopefully the dude goes out there and proves that he's worth it. When he's flashed its been big time stuff, just wish we could see it more consistently before dishing this contract out.
