It's so hard to completely throw in the towel on Carter.

He has such easy power.

If he could just hit 240 and get on base at a 325 clip with his power he would be a great dh

Just now leaving MMP.

On this day 1 year ago, 21-37. This year 25-34. Improvement

The real improvement over last year will (hopefully) be in the next 3 months though. July, August and September was when we really tanked last year. 21 total wins over those 3 months last year.

3-1 with 2 splits in our last 6 series.

A win tomorrow or Thursday makes it 4-1 with 2 splits in 7 series.

Winning baseball!

"In case you haven't noticed, and judging by the attendance you haven't, the Astros have managed to win a few here and there, and are threatening to climb out of the cellar."

Uhh. With 3 teams behind us, I'd say we have climbed out of the cellar.

Uhhhh...I think I was just using a fun Harry Doyle quote, Capt. Literal.

I thought you we're quoting some reporter or something. Sailed right over my head.

Lal! I love it!

Ok, before the next DAT thread gets there, let's talk first pick.

Rodon or low ball HS guy (or even zomgNOLA!!!) to have money ammo for compensatory picks?

SO nice to finally have some legit hope. They had the pieces the last year or two, but they are now paying off.

I think it'll be Brady Aiken. I'm really bullish on taking a high school arm 1-1. Especially when it means passing on Rodon. On Thursday, I'm sure one of us will probably start a draft specific thread.

Oh the draft thread is coming, for sure. No matter who they take, the goal is to get them to take as little money as possible to spend down the line. The 2012 Correa strategy is looking like genius, and the Stros need to do it again.

Glad I got to see Singleton hit one last night. Good crowd for a Tuesday night.
