That’s what they said. But this rule has always confused me. I thought the batter was out and the runner had to go back to the previous base. Wondering if it is because Jake struck out anyway so the runner is out as well?

Salvaged something for this series. Very disappointing overall after the Barevs and Rays series. Oh well. Giants are in town tomorrow. Good to get a W.
