The talking heads are a joke. Before the season it was ohhh the Astros are gonna be the worst team ever. During the 1st game we get shite like this:

quote:

@jonmorosi 31 Mar Dear Astros, I'm sorry to have compared you to the '62 Mets.

Now the talking point is how many times will the Astros get no hit this year? Give me a break. What's the next story they can sensationalize about the Astros being bad?

I'm asking this, so this isn't another attack on the astros, but who is actually shocked that after yu almost goes perfect on them that the media isn't talking about how bad the astros are?

There are numerous media outlets and they all aren't going to say "he came close" and keep repeating that until games start today.

14k yesterday probably means we'll hit like 4 HR today and score 8 runs again

Marlins having two World Series titles in the past 15 years probably has something to do with them getting more of a benefit of the doubt than the "got swept in their lone WS appearance" Astros.

..in the past 15 years?

How is that even remotely relevant?

It's not. It probably has to do more with politics and press favoritism.

But there is the fact that the press is expecting the new owner to have the capital ready to produce a playoff team from scratch. Even with that much money, the key players are contracted to other teams. It's not possible, waiting is the only option.

#1 not everyone is buying this alleged plan of the Astros.

#2 The Marlins are getting plenty of grief.
