I haven't watched a NBA game in 20 years. My point was the notion the ratings were down on that night because of people consumed with Trump's health is laughable.

NBA is a truly awful product.

It was low because the series was over. If the heat make it 2-2 people will watch it again.

Why was the first game low genus?

Admittedly I am having a hard time reconciling this being an NBA finals and at the same time watching players like Caruso, kuzma, green, Morris, KCP, etc on the court. I have never seen such low quality players in a finals. It hasn’t grabbed my attention tbh.

I’m a casual NBA fan and haven’t watched ANY playoff games. Mostly because everyone already knows who will win it all. It’s not fun anymore.

Saturday Night Live just had their highest rated episode in four years so no, not everything is down.

Did they beat 60 minutes?

It's all those types of people have.

It's like they can think of nothing besides Trump and hatred if anything that doesn't perfectly agree with them.

NHL is almost 70% down in viewership and they ignore it because it doesn't fit their narrative. These are the same people who "boycotted" Nike... a brand they never really bought in the first place

It's actually true.

It's funny to me how insecure these types are and how they believe they can actually affect things.

Look at how their "boycott" of the NGL went

I guess they're boycotting NHL and spending all their time watching SNL too.

Not sure what NGL is but the NBA and NHL seem like good examples of viewership declining massively

The SNL comparison is hysterical

i watch a ton of nba and have watched a ton during the bubble. i have no hot takes to provide and dgaf about politics, im just gonna watch sports. i say that to say that nothing the nba has done politically or whatever has affected my watching negatively at all.

i didnt watch on sunday. i probably wont watch unless the heat are close in game 4 or 5. it's just not that compelling of a series for me idk. i honestly like the nba, i have nothing against lebron or AD, i watched all bubble long, and im still not watching.

I meant NFL.

These same people "boycotted" the NFL and that was all meaningless empty chest beating.

They're attempt to take credit for NBA viewership being down when they have nothing to do with it. People just know Lebron is coasting to another championship.

The NFL has really toned down the organized SJW stuff during the game and during the broadcast. Yes it’s on the commercials but they have stuck to football for the most part.

Plus the crowd noise makes the TV fee almost normal.

It’s football season. Ratings for NBA will be down. I don’t watch because I don’t think about it.

It was low because the product sucks and only a select few like the players.

And it doesn't help that the poster child for the league is disliked by the majority of sports fans.

Does he really think anybody, pro or anti Trump, watched the news for several hours, the whole evening, to get updates on this?

This is the worst take of any ratings take I've heard thus far.
