Company didn't have a choice at that moment.

That incident hit about two weeks before Steve Austin walked due to shitty planning by the office (giving away Austin-Brock on free TV with no build-up), at which point Flair became the face of RAW for the next few months.

Even if they had done something about Flair, they'd have had to pull a rabbit out of their arse shortly once Austin left.

sounds like Impact has canned Dreamer based on his comments.

Good. I'm not surprised he's a piece of shite but I was pretty shocked he would just out himself as one so matter of factly

I stopped working in that capacity around 2005, so I can't honestly say if things have changed or not, but back in the 80s/90s it was really, really bad. Women were basically treated like objects... a lot of halcyons and sexual deviance. If you haven't read Marty Jannetty's "redeye flight" story, I recommend doing so. That's the type of stuff the boys thought was "funny." I assure you, nobody else on that flight, despite what Marty says, found it humorous.

Halcyons were a huge problem at one point, mainly if someone who worked Stampede (Calgary) was involved.

They weren’t necessarily smart about it either. Dynamite tried to do it to the guy driving the wrestlers’ car once and failed, as another guy drank it instead. It would have killed all of them if he had passed out, as Stampede had some of the worst driving of any territory and had multiple car wrecks that either killed wrestlers or seriously injured them when drugs WEREN’T involved.

Working my way through the episode.

Just got to the lawsuit and Dreamer’s response to the settlement, HOLY frick, no wonder he got fired by Impact.

For someone who has been a front office guy for years, he should really have known better than to say that.

Or at least to have in writing that he was told to do that by Johnny Ace, which worked for Bill DeMott a few times.

For those familiar with this topic based on many interviews, etc is there really anything more to add? Been told by many, quite a few times. Worth the hour?

Yeah… trying to say that Flair cornering a woman with his dong out was as offensive as his pony tail was stupid as shite. Along with the settlement line.

Dreamer’s response

This guy spent the bulk of his career in ECW. The stories you hear about that locker room makes the Plane Ride from Hell seem tame.
